Magnificent as a Scottish castle in days of yore, the Castle on Tamborine is divided into two wings; the Ross Wing and the Carmichael wing. There is total quiet and seclusion as each wing is separated by the exclusive Day Spa for which you have your own entrance. As you push open the door you encounter the entry hall lined with the richness of chocolate and gold wallpaper creating a warm and inviting feel.
The two level castle residences cater for those with discerning tastes. As you enter, your eye is immediately drawn to the elegant chandelier over the sunken lounge area which, with a flick of button transforms into your own private cinema with hidden projector, blue ray DVD and screen. From the lounge, you pull back the folding doors to adjoin the indoor 7 foot deep plunge pool and backlit waterfall as part of your living area.
As you climb the stairs, you sense the luxury around the corner. Reverse cycle air-conditioning, plush carpet, opulent curtains and a grand king size bed reminiscent of Versace awaits you. This space is fit for royalty. The adjoining bathroom features gold fittings, spa bath and double shower. Bathrobes are supplied for the duration of your stay.
In the morning, you will wake to the sounds of birds and the aroma of your scrumptious hot gourmet breakfast. Experience a menu like a first course of sweet French crepes followed by hot Eggs Benedict served directly to your door. The only thing you have to decide is whether to have breakfast in bed or at your own dining table.
The fully equipped kitchen is adorned with organic teas, a mini bar of champagne, local wines and beer and cheese on arrival if you wish. Features also include laundry facilities and a dishwasher although this should never be required as your Castle wing is serviced daily.
There really is no reason to leave The Castle with piped music, your own meditation garden and observation deck to sit, watch and feel like a king or queen ruling over the surrounding land and its people.
